A strong pace on the cards with Second Guess, Carlito Brigante and Patrick likely to roll along early. Keen to stick with MASH AND GRAVY (2) who is knocking on the door of another win having just found one better in two runs this time in, beaten two lengths at Moe last time when well supported. Back slightly in trip looks no issue and he draws perfectly. TARSHIN (7) was behind Mash And Gravy when they clashed at Kerang on April 4th, finishing fifth there after getting back in the run. She did start 1/4 of that horse's price that day which is worth noting, look for a better run. RED STILETTO (4) doesn't win many but put in a good effort to grab third at Kyneton last time out in a BM56 which reads well. Comes here on the quick turnaround and has claims. MAHAM (1) has been good his past couple and should be peaking out to 2000m for the first time. PATRICK (10) won easily at the picnics at Yea last time, the gap between that and this probably isn't too much. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mash And Gravy to win.
