Solid tempo anticipated with Chandon Star heading them off. WONDER STEP (10) went back from the sticky draw second-up and never handled the Gundagai circuit with a disappointing last over the 1180m. Caught the eye first-up and has a sound record here. Sure to be thereabouts. CHANDON STAR (1) consistent sprinter who will relish Johnston's 3kg claim on the back-up. Up in grade and trip with a game on-pace fourth over 1200m at Tamworth in Open class. Will prove hard to get past. KRANICH (3) trained locally and kept fresh for this. Disappointed as fav with a battling third over 1400m at Wagga in BM82 class. Will go back from the draw and be ridden for luck. WAVE BREAKER (6) returned to form from the low gate with a fast finishing second over 1000m at Muswellbrook. Should tighten right up following that outing and maps well. PLAY MY SONG (4) returned to form last start and can continue the winning momentum. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 10,1,3,6.
