Strong tempo, primarily from Pierce and Mizuno Miyako. PIERCE (6) has raced forward and run fifth last two, the latest over 1800m at Fukushima, beaten 1.75 lengths. Has her share of ability. Hard to beat in this. HAUTE QUALITE (1) returned from a spell three weeks ago when she was prominent at the bend before being beaten 3 lengths into fourth over 2000m at Fukushima. Fitter so expect a better run this time. OMOIO NOSETE (16) was out of the money on debut two runs back then again missed the frame last start when she was never in contention over 2000m at Hanshin, beaten 5 lengths into seventh. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. SOPHIA (13) was put away after a fair run in a strong form race on debut. Has good upside and this easier.
