Crudo to find the front in the small field. CRUDO (1) went to the lead last start in a new role for him but couldn't maintain the effort and missed the placings over 1500m at Kembla. Meets a weaker maiden field today and coming back a little in trip helps. Nicely placed to break through at the third run of the campaign. MR USHER (3) settled handy then knuckled down strongly in the final stages but just missed over this trip at Goulburn last time out. Meets a better field here but is open to further improvement at the third run back from a spell. ENCAMPMENT (2) did a fair job to finish midfield when resuming for a new stable in a $50k maiden over 1280m at Orange recently. Lightly raced three-year-old who strips fitter and will appreciate this longer journey. YES ARNIE (6) led and gave those who took the $26 a great sight at Kembla last time, going under in the end by just 0.6 lengths. Can play a big role if that break-out performance wasn't a fluke. HAMPTON STYLE (8) can improve at her second career run over a bit more ground. SUGGESTED PLAY: Crudo to win.
