GOING: S(5)

Thank-you Members & Sponsors Month Maiden Plate 1400m

Track: SOFT 5   Rain (Max: 26)   Rail: True Entire Circuit. (Pent: 5.56)

Small field in which Jupiter's Girl can find the front comfortably at a moderate tempo. OVERCAST (2) jumped awkwardly and settled back at Seymour on debut, but got busy late to get into the money. Nolen rides today and the longer sprint will suit. This is winnable, and in a smaller field, he can position closer. SO YOU EXCEL (9) peaks and just missed here before a plain effort when well supported at Moe. Draws low with Molly Bourke aboard today, and she will give her every chance to bounce. DUNTULM LASS (5) was in the market at Pakenham on debut but raced ungenerously. Has two gear additions today as recommended by the jockey, and a much better effort is on the cards. She's jumped out well and from what we saw in the last preparation, the longer sprint it sure to suit. JUPITER'S GIRL (6) improved sharply leading and just missing this track/trip at monster odds. Keeps the 3kg claim and can't be ruled out. DR DAVINCI (1) draws low and is a likely improver from the Griffith yard. SUGGESTED PLAY: Overcast appeals most.
