Marinera is expected to lead at a keen tempo. MARINERA (11) first run for the new yard she returned from a long layoff with a courageous on-pace second over 1100m at Mudgee. Well-placed with the winkers going on and has genuine top-three prospects. NIGHTWALKER (2) indicated a win was imminent with an eye catching third over 1000m at Orange. Ready for this trip and can race a touch closer with the claim. MISS MAVERICK (12) consistent mare due for a change of luck. Comes back in trip after warming up late with a solid third over 1400m at Wellington in a Super Mdn. Weir sticks on the home track. NOTHING FINER (3) is back in grade fourth-up and races best with the runs spaced. Held on gamely in the soft (7) going with a handy third over 1500m at Kembla Grange. Anticipating another big run despite drawing out. WHAT A GENT (5) fitter now and maps well in an easier contest. One for the exotics. SUGGESTED PLAY: Marinera looks well placed second-up.
