Fast tempo assured with South Bank, Koseki and Lucido going toe-to-toe. LUCIDO (3) finished second over 1200m at Nakayama at his most recent appearance on March 1. Yet to win fresh but loves the trip and goes well course and distance. Expected to go close. KOSEKI (9) comes here off a break of 11 weeks. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1200m at this track. Has switched to the Shota Nishizono stable. Expect him to play a major role. RED EVANS (4) lines up for the first time since March 1. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1200m at Kokura. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. ASTI SPUMANTE (17) last appeared when fourth over 1200m at Nakayama nine weeks ago at the only appearance of that campaign. Sure to make her presence felt.
