Solid tempo with Thermosphere Lad possessing enough dash to find the front. Time for the feature of the day now and SMOOTH CHINO (7) gets the nod after never getting a chance in The Quokka. He blew the start there and that was his race over, though he did close well to be 2.4L off the winner. Galati now hops back aboard, he's third-up and he's clearly the one to beat on his best form. MAGNIFICENT ANDY (1) trialled well coming into The Quokka but was still disappointing despite his 60-1 price. He usually dips second-up, but was good here 12 months ago off the same lead-up. Expecting a much better performance this time. ROPE THEM IN (2) beat Smooth Chino fresh before an impressive performance in The Quokka, running on strongly to be 1.6L off the winner. Likely to get back again, but the extra trip should suit and he won't be far away. RISSOLES (8) bolted in last week and rates highly on that effort. SISU WARRIOR (9) is not to be discounted on his recent form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Banking on Smooth Chino to return to his best.
