Expecting On The Loose to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. THALESTRIS (10) led and just missed at Geelong as a $3.5F her lone start last preparation. Resumes with two winning jumpouts under the saddle and has plenty of scope for improvement. In a top metro barn, and this is winnable. ON THE LOOSE (3) has overraced her last two but showed enough from the speed at Pakenham on debut to say she has a bright future. has had 38 days away and has been fitted with two jumpouts. Has a gear addition to assist and a much better effort is anticipated. ULFBERHT (6) looked the goods at the jumpouts/trials and was beaten 1L this track/trip on debut. Was heavily bet but has to manage an outside barrier today. Nolen's booking helps mitigate. SPARKLING AWARD (9) also draws wide but is an improver in a top stable. Has a handy 2kg claim and has won two Pakenham jumpouts since last seen. GATHERS NO STONE (2) has a low barrier and always puts in. Is running out of chances. SUGGESTED PLAY: Thalestris to win.
