Moderate tempo with Platinum Ridge leading the way and a few others keeping in touch.
PLATINUM RIDGE (6) went to the front in a small field and ran a much better race last start when second-up from a spell, beaten under a length over 1300m at Canberra. Won his maiden here last prep and looks ready to add to that tally. WALK THE PIER (1) began awkwardly and was never in contention last time out over this distance at Orange, adding to his poor second-up record. Bolted in third-up last time in work over today's journey at Moruya so watch for sharp improvement. ROYAL MEMORY (3) prolonged her run of excellent form when beaten a whisker over 1200m at Queanbeyan recently. Small query at this distance but she is going too well to rule out. MISS SCOOP (5) is yet to miss the top three in seven runs at this circuit, including placings here at her last three race starts. Handled 1400m easily when trying it for the first time 20 days ago. Hard to leave out. Veteran WALK UP START (7) is getting down in the weights and can sneak into the top four without surprising. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen to be with Platinum Ridge.
