From their wide draws Normandy Lass and Meisho can establish a strong tempo. CABRIOLE (4) placed fresh heavily bet at Moonee Valley and was immediately spelled. Resumed with a 5.5L Geelong Maiden win, backed off the map, where he led all the way. Draws inside again and is sure to have taken improvement. The progressive gelding can go right on with the job. Stablemate CAFFETTIERA (10) brings a 2.25-length defeat over 1112m at Geelong and has more to offer. Peaks and maps for a soft run. She can make the quinella at least. SALUTED (7) resumes and won on debut over 1100m at Pakenham to launch her last campaign Fitter for a recent jumpout win at Cranbourne and has a handy 2kg claim. Has an outside gate, but with a good ride, can make her presence. CONFLICT (1) was seeking the hat-trick in a 66 at Sandown-Hillside and just missed a place. Better suited here, and Nolen replaces the apprentice. Draws a cruel gate as well, back in trip, expect him to be finishing hard. NORMANDY LASS (6) was threatening before her latest and keep onside. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cabriole is hard to go past.
