Hold My Drink should lead at a strong tempo.
SUNBURNT COUNTRY (4) is a useful ex-Victorian having his first run for the Jarvis stable off a seven-week let-up. Beaten just 3.4 lengths at the Caulfield Heath two back which is rich form for a race of this quality. Should win if forward enough. HOLD MY DRINK (1) was brave in defeat here first-up then went around at $1.70 last time at this track and trip but gave in rather meekly. Cannot be sacked after one bad run. SONNIG (7) returned from a 15-month break for new trainer Anthony Mountney at Kembla recently and tired badly at the end of 1300m. Strips a lot fitter and won't find this as hard. SQUATTERNUT BOSH (9) is back from a 39-week lay-off. Only beaten a length on debut at Wagga then the other two runs were forgettable. No surprise if she opened with a smart performance. Debutant VERTEBRA (3) has had one trial since landing in Joe Cleary's care and ran fourth at his home track. The stable likes a bet so watch the market closely. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sunburnt Country to win.
