Northumbria and Sailor's Rum possess good early speed.
SAILOR'S RUM (5) loves this course and distance with two wins from as many attempts and is racing high on confidence of late. Gets in well at the weights with the 2kg claim and should be right there when the judge calls a halt. DON PEDRO (1) resumes here but has a handy first-up record, draws the inside marble and gets 3kg weight relief. Plenty to like about his prospects. PRESOCRATICS (6) has two wins and a second from three starts at this circuit and only needs some luck navigating from the wide draw to be playing a major role in the outcome. RED BEAUTY (8) is yet to miss a drum in four starts over this track and trip and can run a big race while fresh. ELECTRIC BRAE (10) is usually thereabouts and looks one for the multiples. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning towards Sailor's Rum.
