Andes Viento has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. SUN EAU CLAIRE (5) has returned in good shape this preparation. Opened with a third two starts back then landed the prize by 2.5 lengths last time out over 1900m at Kochi. Yamato Ishikawa scored on her last time and retains the ride. Good enough to score again. ATER ASTRAEA (1) travelled in a rearwards position then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished ninth last time out over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt when first up from a spell. Tackles a longer journey this time. Strong record with Yuji Hishida aboard, including seven wins. Will strip fitter so expect her to feature. TENKA JO (3) finished third last start at the first run back from a spell over 1800m at Funabashi. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she deserves her chance. SMILE MIRCHA (10) is close to breaking through after three consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 1800m at Himeji. Can feature.
