The presence of the debutants could see Rejuvenate and Back From War struggle to get their own way in front. BACK FROM WAR (1) is better than her last start run would suggest as she was reported to have choked up. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She will enjoy the rise to 1450m and Craig Zackey may be able to get the best out of her. CONCORDIA (2) stayed on well when fourth over 1160m on the Standside course. She is a progressive type and will love the extra distance on offer. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and she is one of the leading chances. FAIR PROPOSAL (3) is an unraced daughter of Legislate from the Barend Botes stable with Calvin Habib in the saddle. If not too green in the running, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances. WITCHING HOUR (8) is a daughter of Rafeef from the Roy Magner stabled with Kabelo Matsunyane up. If not in need of the run, she should be fighting out the finish.
