GOING: G

CKS Electrical 3 & 4YO Handicap 1600m

Track: Good   Clear (Max: 26)   Rail: True.

Keen tempo with Better Not Fuss and Grinzinger Lass prominent. THE MEN WENT HOME (4) had been placed in his first couple of starts in Victoria before making a winning local debut out of his class 2 weeks ago, beating a handy field by more than a length when storming home late from last. He is perfectly placed here with a kilo less to carry, and should win again. TANNENBURG (2) did not come up in 3 starts last prep and has since been transferred to the Gary Clarke stables, who normally get immediate results with similar types. He might need the run, but on the talent he has shown in the past, he would not be a shock winner. GRINZINGER LASS (6) was disappointing as favourite last time out but was asked to run hard the whole way in front over 1100m and weakened. The mile suits her better and she can make amends. AVNGUARD LEGEND (7) has a decent draw and is worth including in all combinations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tannenburg each-way.
