CULGOA KATE (9) showed pace to the turn but struggled from there in a stronger maiden over 1300m at Orange last start. Coming back in trip in an easier race is an appealing scenario. Watch for a much bolder performance. THE HOFF (11) led but his condition gave out when fresh from a spell over this distance at Coonamble last time out. Drops sharply in the weights under this scale and strips fitter. In contention. DONCASTER AVENUE (3) has only raced three times and has been safely held on each occasion. Meets lesser opposition this time so a better run is on the cards. I'M OPINIONATED (10) is back after a brief spell. Best run last prep was second-up at Dubbo. Chance if forward enough. MASQUE LISTO (1) wasn't beaten all that for first-up at Wellington eight days ago. In the mix with that run under his belt. SUGGESTED PLAY: This looks a nice race for Culgoa Kate.
