Strong tempo primarily from Beat Hollow, Guerrera and Singular over Whomsonever and Grand Crusader. RYLOV (1) threatened at Toowoomba and then again at Rockhampton as favourite. Tumbles in grade off those with a handy 3kg claim. He will get every chance from an inside barrier. SINGULAR (4) resumed here in a 58 and was beaten a whisker. He raced on stronger on the course proper following (wide gate) and did about what was expected. He's been freshened and can jump and run from the inside barrier. GUERRERA (10) was well supported again, beaten a lip in a Grafton 58. Rates well but the wide gate is a niggle. GRAND CRUSADER (5) was expected to win here last time, but didn't finish it off. The longer sprint will suit and he's on a 7-day return. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Rylov.
