Solid tempo from Polk Tesoro, Kate Pomme De Pin and Lightning Zeus battling for the lead in a high-pressure contest. LOS ANGELES (16) turned in a decent effort last start to finish second over 1200m at this track. Finding it hard to win but this looks an ideal race and he can play a major role. POLK TESORO (13) finished out of the money when fresh from a spell two starts back then was beaten 4 lengths when fourth over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt three weeks ago after being in the firing line on the corner. Coming along nicely and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. LIGHTNING ZEUS (9) finds it hard to win with just one success from 10 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when sixth over 1200m at this track, beaten 5 lengths. Can run a bold race. ALNILAM (10) is fitter for two runs back from a spell, progressing nicely last time to finish fourth, beaten 1.1 lengths, at Tokyo Dirt over 1300m. Looms as a genuine contender.
