GOING: N

TAB WE'RE ON BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1200m

Track: Synthetic     Rail: True .

Shooting Wonders should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep him honest. SHOOTING WONDERS (3) trialled well here and then won a Toowoomba Maiden on debut, backed into the red. Has a 3kg claim and the first-time blinkers applied, and stripping fitter can take the next step. PLATINUM GIFT (6) couldn't find the lead and was disappointing at Beaudesert. He was backed off the map, winning a Grafton Maiden prior, and that stacks right up. He also gets the blinkers first time, but the 2kg apprentice has to cross economically from a wide gate. SHAPIN POWER (8) is speedy and went close here last time. A hope with average luck in the run. VOCALS (9) has the inside barrier and 2kg claim and went well enough at Eagle Farm first-up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Shooting Wonders.
