Expecting Exalted Fire to lead Dixie Whistler at just a moderate tempo. Michael Hickmott with two of the stable's war horses lining up, including EXALTED FIRE (2) who can win this. He's an 11-time winner who has been back to the trials since a below-par run at Murray Bridge. His prior form in similar races was hard to fault. He gets a handy 3kg claim and can roll along up on the speed to make his own luck. Another talented veteran is MAGNETIC EDGE (4), and he looks to have each-way claims here. He's drawn low and gets in with no weight after the claim. LAKE'S FOLLY (3) always needs to be respected in these races, while PETA'S HEART (7) is a progressive type that warrants some thought.
