Off the inside draw Shamex should boot up and lead at a solid tempo. KINGS REFLECTION (2) hasn't raced since a win at Warrnambool over 1700m a month ago. Back in trip here, but kept ticking over with a recent trial at Hamilton. Has found a suitable race here and is a big chance to go back-to-back. MELEYS (12) was rewarded with her maiden success last start, scoring by half a length over 1600m at Werribee. This race looks a nice progression and can keep up the consistent form. TORN (4) doesn't boast a great winning strike-rate (3 wins from 30 starts) but is a regular minor placegetter and only needs to run up to the good last-start performance to be a player here. KNEE DEEP (6) returned from a spell two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 3 lengths into seventh over 1400m at Pakenham. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves plenty of thought. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kings Reflection to win.
