Expecting El Ultimo to take up the running with Peecee Pussycat and Cosmetic Virtue close at hand. KIWI MAGIC (6) showed his quality when winning his penultimate start at Riccarton on the turf there, before struggling up in class on the poly track. He is so much better than that, and he can make amends in this weaker assignment. Follow your money. INCREDIBLE (4) is a consistent performer having his first run around this circuit. He was a brave runner-up off a wide gate on the Riccarton poly track just over 3 weeks ago, and he can go one better here. CHERRYVILLE (1) has not won for some time, but his recent performances have been near enough for a race like this. With the right run from the pole position, he can have the last say in his first attempt at a longer trip. COSMETIC VIRTUE (8) peaked on her fresh up run when leading at Ashburton, and then dropped out badly to finish last at Riccarton just over 5 weeks ago. She has a good record over this trip, and is worth another chance at good odds. LINED SATIN (7) can mix her form, but her stable has to be respected when they travel. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kiwi Magic is the one to beat.
