Phar Lap Raceway   07 Jun 2026

GOING: H(9)

DELTA WYE ELECTRICAL 1600m

Track: HVY9     True

Strong tempo assured from The Peony Xpress and Overheated leading the charge. LATER BOY (6) has battled on fairly well after leading up her last couple of starts, and those tactics can help around this circuit. Tina Comignaghi is back in the saddle, and the pair could take some pegging back. HARD WORK (1) won the most recent of his 2 trials, and he has some nice breeding to live up to. This field is not strong, and he can make a winning debut. FRIENDOFTHEDEVIL (7) has run the odd good race, and she has steadily improved in each of her runs back from a spell. Kylie Williams returns to the saddle, and from a handy gate, she can figure in the top 4 here. THE PEONY XPRESS (5) mixed her form last prep, and will benefit from the pole position for her resuming run here. If ready, then she is worth including in all combinations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Later Boy each way in a very plain field.
