Plenty of pace from the outset with Royal Capital and G T Jin leading the charge. G T JIN (3) was last seen when he finished second at this track and distance four months ago, adding to a string of top-two finishes. Has never been out of the money in three starts here including a win. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. A SHIN PULSAR (8) proved too strong two runs ago at Sonoda. Couldn't follow that up last time out when ninth in a tougher race. Tackling a more suitable assignment so he can return to the winners' list. BOZEMAN (2) wasn't too far from the placings last start over this trip at Kasamatsu, beaten 6 lengths into fifth. Nicely placed to feature. DRIFT WOOD (7) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 8 lengths away in third at this track and trip. Can figure prominently again.
