The well-related SWING STATE (3) (half to G2 winner In Good Order) finally got the maiden out of the way in town at the latest effort and winning rider Guthmann-Chester stays in the stirrups. Will have taken some confidence from that victory and looks the one they all have to run down. AVE CANTARE (4) has a solid record here at this circuit with a win and two seconds from four spins and maps ideally for this from gate four. Has to be included in calculations. EKHIDNA (11) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside marble and will strip fitter third-up from the spell. In the mix. BON VADER (5) gets the reliable Vandyke/Maloney combination and is yet to put in a poor run. Top-three candidate. QUEEN JEDDAH (12) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be discounted lightly.
