HAVANA MOON (6) has had the advantage of a run back and was only narrowly beaten over 1000m at Ballarat last time, so with added fitness on his side he'll play a key role again. SCOOBARTIE (3) also comes off a first-up second placing and he's won a Bendigo trial in the meantime. HELLO MISTRESS (7) is a dual acceptor who was taken to Adelaide after an encouraging debut and although disappointing there, she looked good in her most recent trial. BOYD (1) has been thereabouts without winning, the latest effort a 3 length fifth at Seymour after being prominent on straightening. Handy draw will assist and look for an improved run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Havana Moon to win.
