From a wide gate Wave Moon has the speed to cross and lead a low-pressure affair. RIVER SONIC (6) wasn't far off maiden success before a break of 11 weeks, finishing the campaign with a minor placing over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt. Good effort to kick-off last prep when in the money at this track over 1800m. Well placed and happy to have him on top. DAIMEI KUMAMOTO (5) resumed from a spell last start with a sound third over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt. Ready to go a couple better. ULTRA HEART (4) finished third last time over 1800m at Niigata Dirt when resuming from a spell, beaten 5.5 lengths. Placed to advantage so expect a forward showing. LORD VERITAS (2) returns from a break of three months. Was going well at the back end of last prep with placings at his last two starts, the latest at this course and distance. Expected to be competitive.
