SPIRITUAL STAR (4) comes out of a decent rating contest when he overcame the wide gate to finish a close-up second over 1400m at Parkes in a Super Maiden. Brodie Loy sticks from a slightly better gate and should be able to put these away. PASSING THROUGH (12) blinkers go on today and drops sharply in trip. Struggled to see the 1900m out with a plugging fifth over 1900m at Canberra Acton in C1 class. Should handle the conditions and stays in the calculations. RAWANO (2) back in trip and struggled on the heavy surface at Nowra. Proven at this trip and can sneak into the minor money. STEP QUICK (5) looks close to a win after a narrow defeat last time over 1200m at Nowra, finishing second. Handles the conditions and in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Spiritual Star is a leading chance.
