Manu Vuka has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. MANU VUKA (12) was put aside after finishing fifth of 7 on debut at Ascot Park last spring, and she will be a lot stronger now. She resumes over a mile so she has done plenty of work, and she will be ready to rumble fresh up. FLYING ANGEL (13) has ran on stoutly in her last 2 starts on the Riccarton poly track, and she is seasoned enough now to cope with a wet turf surface here. She draws the pole, and she has each-way claims. BAGGIO (1) cops a wide gate for his return to a turf surface, and at times he has looked capable of winning a maiden race. Include in all top 4 combos to be safe. SARRACINA (10) makes her South Island debut, and she showed enough when trained in the North Island to say that she can win a race in this area at short notice. JUST A BROWN HORSE (6) is a lightly tried 7YO locally trained gelding who is worth including in all combinations at a price. SUGGESTED PLAY: Manu Vuka can win this.
