ELF STRUCK (2) was handy on straightening and went on to finish second last start over 1800m at Kyoto, beaten 1.3 lengths when fresh from a spell. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. EVER HAPPINESS (8) finished third last start at the first run back from a spell over 2000m at Nakayama when she made late ground, beaten 0.6 lengths. Likely improver with strong prospects. ROUGE SUERTE (6) is struggling to break through but hasn't been far away, the latest offering a fifth, beaten 1.5 lengths, over 1400m at Chukyo. Overdue for a win and she has solid claims.
