GOLD COAST POLY   17 May 2025

GOING: N

TAB WE'RE ON BENCHMARK 68 Handicap 1200m

Track: Synthetic     Rail: True.

Shapin Power has good gate speed and likely to set a genuine tempo with the advantage of the inside draw. SARATOGA POWER (11) will be nearing his peak fitness third up after 2 starts back from a spell, which, along with 2 trials, should have him ready to put his best hoof forward in this. Hard to beat. ALL'S FAIR (3) has turned her form around with a return to the poly track here and followed up a win with a game effort for third 4 weeks ago. She is back to 1200m, and another honest effort is on the cards. PRIVATE TENDER (14) had a couple of trials before finishing fourth here fresh up 4 weeks ago. He drops 6.5kg for this assignment and will be a quick improver. Stick with him. CHILLIWACK (8) made a winning poly track debut when turning his form around with an upset win here 4 weeks ago. He is more than capable on his day and can repeat the dose. SHAPIN POWER (9) can't be faulted this year and followed up a brace of wins with a game third over 1540m 3 weeks ago. He is better placed over 1200m and will be right in the finish again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Saratoga Power each way.
