In a small field either King Spirit or Bonfire Spark will find the front. KING SPIRIT (1) made it a double on the Queensland poly tracks when proving to be too strong on this track 3 weeks ago. He is well placed in the same grade with only 2kg more to carry, and the hat-trick beckons. BONFIRE SPARK (2) has found some form again on the softer turf tracks and followed up a recent big Beaudesert win with a brave second at the Sunshine Coast 2 weeks ago, beaten by a head. She is having her first run on a poly track and is the likely leader. Stick with her and follow your money. VIERVILLE (4) battled on strongly for seventh on the turf here last start and had held on grimly for a head victory fresh up at Muswellbrook in March. He is just over 5 weeks between runs, and from a good draw, he can bounce straight back into the money here. EXPLOSIVE POWER (3) has been freshened after fading out of it off a tough trip at Doomben just over 6 weeks ago. He had made a bright start to his career before that and has each-way claims here. SUGGESTED PLAY: King Spirit to win.
