From the wide draw Quality Miss can cross and set up a solid tempo. MARAVILLAS (5) did not take long to break through for new trainer Mark Currie when getting the job done second up here a fortnight ago over 1300m. The way he hit the line that day suggests that the step up to a mile will be ideal, and he can win again. BRIGHT THE SUN (11) did not run on at all fresh up at Warwick 15 days ago, but she is much better than that and will have the advantage of the pole position this time. She is worth another chance. FIRE AND LIGHT (2) capped off some solid form with a well-deserved and overdue win by a head at Warwick 15 days ago over 2000m. He returns to a mile but can still feature in the top 3 placings. BROOKLYN DAISY (12) ran on fairly well here last week and may have just needed the run. The blinkers are off for the first time, and she would not be a shock winner. SUGGESTED PLAY: Maravillas to win.
