Genuine tempo with Better Not Fuss and Qualis leading the way. TINTERN POWER (7) has not won for some time and was running on late when finishing fifth at Alice Springs 2 weeks ago. The drop back from a mile to 1450m should not be a problem, and in an even lineup, he can find some form again at a price. QUALIS (6) has been out of form for some time and has since changed stables. He has won 8 of his 34 starts, so the ability is there, and a fresh start can be just what these older geldings need to find their best again. Each way value. TWO TIMES TWICE (3) has won 2 of his 3 starts this prep at Darwin and won't find this assignment much harder than his last 5 weeks ago. A good draw will help, and he can win again. BETTER NOT FUSS (1) gave a good sight in front at Alice Springs 2 weeks ago over a mile, and those tactics over 1450m on this circuit will make him very hard to peg back. THE GIRL'S BOY (2) made a timely return to winning form in this class at Alice Springs nearly 4 weeks ago. He is up 2kg in weight, but has to be respected. SUGGESTED PLAY: Qualis each-way.
