Not much early speed of note and Missile Meg and Ancho may find themselves setting a steady tempo. SHEER LUNACY (4) trialled well coming into this prep and while he was never a factor first-up, he improved significantly second-up when beaten just over a length and this is no tougher. Drawn to take up a prominent position under a 4kg claimer who gets a great chance for a second career win. ANCHO (1) has won his only two starts this time in, albeit against easier opposition than what he meets here, but it's hard to knock in his sort of form. MISSILE MEG (9) was a big drifter and beat just one home last start but wasn't beaten far in 64 grade the previous two so must be given another chance. CHAR (12) is another who is better than last stat suggests and looks a value player for exotics. SUNNY TIMES (5) should be fitter after two runs back from a freshen and will find this easier than last start. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sheer Lunacy to win.
