Plenty of pace evident with Great Buy and Taipan Tommy leading the way from Rylan's Pick and Silentdeel. TAIPAN TOMMY (7) is proving to be hard to catch these days, but showed 3 starts back at Alice Springs that he is still capable of pulling out a big performance. He has won on this track in the past and will see out a mile better than most. He will make full use of the pole position, and with only 54kg to carry, he is the one to beat. GREAT BUY (1) raced on the pace and fought hard when finishing runner-up at Alice Springs 2 weeks ago. He has 3kg less to carry this time, and another honest effort can be expected. VENTING (5) was a game third last start when needing the run. He has less time between starts this time and won't mind stepping up to a mile from 1400m. Stick with him. Can win. SACCHARO (4) hit the line fairly well over 1300m at Darwin 4 weeks ago, and even though he has not won for some time, he is getting down to a dangerous place in the weights, and would not be a shock winner. SUPREME ATTRACTION (2) has been an honest veteran for a long time and can never be ruled out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Saccharo each-way.
