Plenty of pace from the outset with Basil's Bow and Birague leading the charge.
BASIL'S BOW (1) has been below his best lately and will find this easier than his last start at Jandowae 2 weeks ago. With some luck from a wide gate, she can figure in the finish. On top in an even field. THE STONE MASON (8) needed his first run back from a spell at Thangool nearly 3 weeks ago over 800m He usually improves with racing and has won 4 times over 1400m. He cops a wide gate, but is expected to improve quickly. Each way. STORMTROOPER (9) is much better than his form suggests, and he will find this easier than his last couple of starts. He has not missed a cheque in 3 starts on this course, and can bounce back into form here. Include in all combinations. DARLHISMA (3) needed his fresh-up run at Gatton 18 days ago over 1100m after a long break due to injury. He will be better for that hit-out, and is worth including in all multiples to be safe. PACIFIC PIRATE (6) has changed stables since his last start at Gatton. She is nicely placed at this level, and has top 3 claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stormtrooper each way.
