Solid tempo with Feargal leading from Texan Windstorm and Van Roy. FLASHING STEEL (5) is knocking on the door, going close to busting through last time in town when beaten a neck. Rock-hard fit and gets 2kgs off with the rise in grade. Is ready to put it all together now. SUPER LAD (2) strode forward again last start in town, only to be run down late. Strips fitter fourth-up and is another that gets weight off. Will prove very tough to reel in if left alone in front over a trip he's 2/2 at. TEXAN WINDSTORM (6) doesn't know how to run a bad race, et is often overlooked by the market. Will put himself right on speed again from the good draw and will be in for the fight when they quicken. ANNIHILATE (7) will appreciate the anticipated tempo and will be looking to pounce on them late. Don't overlook. VAN ROY (3) is a Country Cups specialist and finds another to take home with him, though the mile may prove a touch sharp for him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Flashing Steel to win.
