Zamparini Spirit has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. Tough. CITY WOK (3) disappointed at Terang but brought good provincial form to that over a mile. Has a low gate and a handy 3kg claim and deserves another chance. PARERA (7) showed good early speed at Pakenham first-up, but the fitness gave out. He went close at this track/trip three back and quick improvement is likely. ZAMPARINI SPIRIT (10) has pieces of form that would see him in the finish. Settled forward at Pakenham last time, and Mertens rides today and is likely to take a sit. BOLSHIE (2) had excuses at Sale last time. Struggling for form, but is on a quick back-up and may be the best of the remainder. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to City Wok.
