Good pace with Long Live, Six Kings and Mean As matching motors.
The chances run deep. MISS MAVERICK (15) has been to the races 19 times for seven minor placings. Overcame an awkward start to get up for third last start over 1600m at Orange. Drawn to get a cosy run so a long-awaited win might arrive at last. LONG LIVE (4) has led for the judge at both race starts but been overhauled and finished fourth on each occasion. Steps up a little in trip so perhaps less pressure today. Open to plenty of improvement and should give backers a great sight. CHAITHNIA (10) has not raced since a modest effort on debut over this distance at Nowra in November. Went okay in a recent Hawkesbury trial. Betting holds the key. MEAN AS (5) suffered an injury so his last start failure at Goulburn should be overlooked. Ran a couple of nice races at the provincials prior to that which brings him under notice. MISS FIRESTAR (11) gets a pass mark for her first-up effort at Gosford and an extra 200m today suits. SUGGESTED PLAY: Miss Maverick each-way.
