In a race devoid of early speed Eagle Moon is the most likely to find the front. EAGLE MOON (1) mixed his form last campaign but did produce some efforts that would stack right up for this, only beaten a long neck in one of his runs at Strathalbyn. Looks to have come on nicely during the break, winning his most recent trial. Expecting him to hit the ground running.
IRON STUPA (5) was denied narrowly from resuming a winner at Hobart. Was too bad to be true last start and has since been freshened with a month off. Draws close and gets a key booking in Murtagh. Sharp improvement is on the cards. GLOBAL OUTCAST (11) was narrowly beaten at a huge quote last time out, finishing third over this trip at Mt Gambier. Expect her to drift back again and be saved for the final shot at them under the light weight. PEQUENA GOLD (12) turned in a better run second-up when finishing fourth at Port Lincoln. Is open to further improvement, though will need a smart steer from a wide draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Eagle Moon can return a winner.
