Reasonable tempo with Cosmo Moana probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. HOORAY (4) improved sharply on her 17th two starts back at Kokura with a win as favourite over 1300m at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 4 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she is up to the challenge. COSMO MOANA (5) stuck on well last start to finish second over 1400m at this track after showing good early speed. Taking on a better line-up this time but he is up to the challenge. SMART PIRKA (10) is finding the breakthrough elusive, beaten 6 lengths into seventh at her latest appearance over 1300m at this track. Can play a significant role. CERULEAN ROCKET (6) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1400m at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.
