Strong tempo with Long Live, Six Kings and Mean As leading the way. STRIKE A POSE (9) surprised at the big odds at debut with a respectable fifth over 1300m at Hawkesbury in a solid rating contest. Should come on strongly for this in a very thin Maiden. STOCK ROAD (19) fourth-up for this and will relish this easier contest. Was a month between runs with a battling seventh over 1500m at Hawkesbury. Assess on his earlier runs on the country circuit. LONG LIVE (3) improving with racing and looking for this trip and further now. Set a good tempo with a tenacious on-pace fourth over 1300m at Goulburn in a Super Maiden. Leading prospect if he can overcome the sticky barrier. MAKHACHEV (4) returned for the new yard with a fading eighth over 1300m at Canberra. Maps well from the inside draw and can turn things around quickly. BEAUTY BIRDIE (15) caught the eye on debut when fifth over this track and trip. No shock to see her take this out at start two.
