A genuine pace is expected with Cosmo Antares, Grace Ruler and Margot Dry rolling along early. ELU GRACE (14) fought on for third last start over 2000m at this track, making it three minor placings in a row. Wide draw and will need a good steer from Takeshi Yokoyama. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. FURTHER AWAY (10) has not appeared since he finished fifth over 2000m at this track on January 17. Well placed and should be tough to beat. SHONAN SAIO (16) started at $4 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 8 lengths at this track over 1800m. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. MARGOT DRY (15) raced once in the maiden preparation when fifth at Tokyo over 1800m back on January 31. Better for that run and can improve sharply.
