Cada Estrella to take charge ahead of Vicious Rumour at a strong tempo. CADA ESTRELLA (1) started favourite and led for home only to be denied near the line on debut last start over 1100m at Armidale. Looks a smart type who will benefit greatly from that experience and is the one they have to beat. VILLAINESS (12) has been plain in her three runs to date, showing little early purpose and failing to run on. Was well backed on debut so obviously there is something there, and the application of blinkers today might be the key. THE CONTRACTOR (3) made up a stack of late ground to finish fourth when resuming over 1018m here recently. Fitter and will be tough to hold out over this longer journey. VICIOUS RUMOUR (4) recorded her sixth minor placing from ten starts when she found one better over 1375m at Cowra last start. Placed two from two here so although coming back in trip she is right in the mix. MISS MAVERICK (8) is one for the exotics first-up from a spell. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cada Estrella to win with a saver on Villainess.
