It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. DEAD VLEI (11) finished last campaign with a couple of minor placings, the latest over 1750m at this track six-and-a-half months ago. Yet to break through here over this distance but has never missed the placings in four starts. Leading contender. ASCOT ROMAN (10) finished 2.5 lengths behind the winner in fourth over 1300m at this track last start after lifting strongly to score two runs back.
