DUNSTAN FEEDS WAIMATE CUP 1600m

Track: SOFT 5     True

Genuine tempo with the speedy O'riordan leading the way. TUMUCH (1) was only beaten by a head on the Riccarton poly track last time out, and before that, he ran a huge race for third on the turf there in a strong field. He is back to his best now, and he is nicely placed to go one better in this. O'RIORDAN (5) has been very tough on wet tracks this year, and she fought on gamely after working hard to find the front at Wingatui 2 weeks ago, weakening only over the final stages. She drops 3kg, and from a superior gate, she will take plenty of pegging back in this. HE'S TUNZA GRUNT (4) needed his fresh up run at Wingatui over 1400m, and he steps straight up to his pet trip of 1600m. He usually improves rapidly with racing, and with the aid of the pole position, he maps to receive a cosy run early on. Each way value. SIR STERLING (3) ran a strange race last start and he went around without breaking a sweat. His form prior was good, and he is worth another chance. PENVOSE LAD (2) and TRALEE BAY (8) are both worth including in all combos. SUGGESTED PLAY: O'Riordan each way value.
