BRAZEN SAILOR (5) is a former Queensland galloper who was beaten for speed over the sharp trip and always bustling but kept coming, finishing a 4.5 length ninth over 1100m. Straight to a mile which is perhaps more suitable and rates highly on Qld form. Expected to go well. STARTON (3) started favourite last time over 1400m at this track but could only manage third. The extra journey should play into his hands. Overdue and looks the clear danger. CAPISTAN (10) has recently been thereabouts without winning, the latest effort a fourth over 1400m at this track. Will drift back but wind up late. One to consider. MIRACOLI (2) ran below expectations last start, finishing fifth and beaten 3 lengths at this track over 1400m. Anticipating a better run this time.
