Race has been obliterated by scratchings. Of those remaining, NOT USUAL DREAM (5) showed improvement last start when he finished sixth in The Australian Steeplechase (3900m) at Sandown-Lakeside and gets a great chance to win here. MIGHTY SPAR (1) didn't have a great Warrnambool Carnival and that might have caught up with him last start. The fact he's here suggests he's obviously bounced out of that OK and he's again got a lot of weight, but that's because he's the best-performed horse in the race. BAZINI (6) finished a modest seventh in The Australian Steeplechase (3900m) at Sandown-Lakeside last start. That came after he took a tumble two runs back. Recent form doesn't flatter but won't get a better chance to feature. SUGGESTED PLAY: All of them have a hope.
